 Meridian Staff Circa 1971
| |
The first issue of The Meridian arrived on September 24, 1964. The paper would go on to report on the college's transition from Hunter to Lehman, on demonstrations against the Vietnam War in the sixties, a student takeover of the campus in the seventies, and the expansion of the college throughout the eighties and nineties. Together with the Special Collections Division of the Leonard Lief Library, The Meridian needs to preserve its fragile archives. If you are interested in helping digitize this historic collection please call 718 960 4966 or email us.
