New Capitol is conveniently located right next to the 4 train, behind the twenty-two and the nine bus stops, and not too far away from the shopping districts on Fordham and Jerome avenues.
Since life is short, remember to eat desert first! The delicious double chocolate-layered cake had a blissful flavor. There were several layers of mouth watering chocolate cream. For $3.50, you can buy yourself a little time in chocolate heaven.
When we eat cheesecake we think of comfort, especially with strawberry cheesecake. The New Capitol's cheesecake is topped with a beautiful, rich red glaze and decorated with fresh strawberries. For $3.25, it's a meal for a student or professor on the go and on a budget.
The vanilla milkshake had real chunks of vanilla ice cream, yet it had a smooth consistency. The flavor was superb. Grab one if you want something light before dinner, or maybe as a little treat for yourself after midterms.
New York is filled with diners just like the one right around the corner from our campus. The New Capitol Restaurant has that typical Greek influence, yet it reminds of one of home. The staff will treat you with open arms. Forget the Lehman Cafeteria; the New Capitol Restaurant is the stop for some of the best deserts that the Kingsbridge Shopping District has to offer.

Nicely written and very descriptive so that one can actually visualize the dessert. Not sure if the food is any good but I know where the get a chocolate cake and shake. (Continued…)
