The Student Life Building was packed for the Annual Talent Show, sponsored by the Carribbean Students Association this November. The event lasted well beyond two hours as students with incredible talents dazzled the audience with stirring vocals, wildly energetic dances and a few edgy rap numbers, sometimes interrupted by emcees asking performers to keep the language clean. Gyrations by Jose had some women standing and hollering with enthusiastic encouragement. A few young women belted out the high notes and won lots of audience support. Even a jazz band turned up sporting team ties.
In the end the prize went to Latisia, who had graced the floor and danced Latin to perfection despite the slippery tiles, but everyone deserves a prize for the love they gave eachother, and the incredible support audience members showed their friends and classmates. Now THAT'S school spirit!
