Listen up English majors and minors! Sigma Tau Delta-Alpha Nu Epsilon is finally here at Lehman College!
Alpha Nu Epsilon is a chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, an International English Honor Society which was founded in 1924. This chapter was established by Darnella C. Valentino, a Lehman College student, on July 12, 2005. Our mission is to serve the community through literacy and mentoring programs.
In order to become a member of the Alpha Nu Epsilon chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, if you are an undergraduate student, you have to be majoring or minoring in English and you must have an overall GPA of 3.0 and at least a 3.5 in English. All English graduate students automatically qualify.
But wait, there's more...
Sigma Tau Delta offers its members an opportunity to be recognized internationally; obtain scholarships and awards; participate in an internship or graduate assistantship; and to be published in The Rectangle, an internationally published magazine that allows members to express themselves.
